Circle Basics

Together let us explore how a Intention Circle/ Sacred Circle can be used to realize what Jean Shinoda Bolen calls our “assignment” or what others refer to as our purpose or calling.

Our assignment is what calls to us, sometimes quietly at first. Many a dutiful woman has tried to ignore the call only to find the universe conspiring to nudge her in a new direction. It is where our passion lies, giving colour and texture to life. Without it we are in the grey zone of mediocrity.

Whether your assignment is home schooling your children, writing a book or taking on major environmental issues, you will need support. A women’s circle can offer a safe place to lean into your fears, share your vision and celebrate your successes. Together, let us access the tribal and ancestral knowledge found in sacred circles so that we may find our way to the fulfillment of our dreams.

Collectively, we have the wisdom, the strength and the courage to show up for life and remain grounded. Come let us walk together and remind each other of this important message:

If you have come to help me, you are wasting your time. But if you have come because your liberation is bound up with me, then let us work together. - Ms. Lila Watson, an Aboriginal Australian woman addressing a missionary serving in her country.

Below are a few tidbits to get you started with your circle…
