I believe that Jonina Lynn Kirton is uniquely skilled to weave together a book both profound and accessible, to satiate the cultural hunger for Sacred Circles: Women Reclaiming Ritual.
With the world in flux, the need to gather in Sacred Circle increases and such a book is radically needed, with Jonina Lynn Kirton the woman to write it!

Jonina Lynn Kirton is an able guide in assisting us—men and women alike—in navigating the many currents and eddies of modern life. Hers is a wisdom that has been formed in the crucible of relationships, motherhood, and careers. The places where we each live, where we call home—with all the demands and challenges, and, as Jonina reminds us, opportunities—is exactly where we so many of us can use a little friendly guidance now and then. Being pulled in so many different directions—and sometimes all at once!—it can be a gift to be reminded of that which is truly important in life by someone who has been there. Jonina Lynn Kirton has reminded me, and I am confident she can help you reclaim the wisdom that is yours as well.

I am excited by Jonina’s book project and proposal both in terms of the subject and in terms of how she is approaching writing this book. I have been a manuscript consultant for authors and emerging writers for almost 25 years and have learned to spot a promising manuscript when I see it.
Jonina brings the following qualities to this book project: a distinct, engaging voice; a clear and effective sense of how to structure the manuscript; and to me, most crucially, a humbleness about, awe of, and deep commitment for her subject.
I believe in this book and in this writer and am confident that many, many readers will too.

I wish I had known of Jonina’s sacred circle techniques back when I was teaching. Although not designed for classroom use, her uses of ritual as a means of building support and encouraging meaningful interactions are brilliant.
I also found them very helpful both in my personal and writing life. I was particularly surprised to discover that although I don’t consider myself very spiritual, I do build shrines (loosely defined) to commemorate and facilitate major turning points in my life. Now that I’m aware of it, I do it more often and have also extended it to the creation of small shrines marking the turning points of my novel’s characters. Much more fun to develop than timelines, and every bit as helpful.

Jonina Kirton is one of the most powerful writers and facilitators I have come across in my years of running writing groups and spiritual events. She is a wordsmith extraordinaire, and her poetry is so well crafted and profound that it goes straight to the core of your very being. As a facilitator, she has a unique ability to engage writers with inspiring, purposeful processes that allow them to blossom with confidence and creativity. My writing group members have always responded to Jonina’s presentations and facilitation with renewed enthusiasm for their writing and deep gratitude for having learned do-able techniques to take them to the next level. Thank you Jonina!
